For example, a 34ADF on an 1800 Manifold with an 1800 Head and 4-2-1 Exhaust (shown outlined in red) is a balanced and fairly optimal system (most components fall to the bottom – the increased performance – side of the scale. A 32ADFA on an 1800 Manifold with a 2000 Carbureted Head and the 4-1 Exhaust would be of lesser performance but require fewer modifications.
